Veterinarian
Dr. Pava graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2016. She spent 3 years practicing in Santa Fe, New Mexico prior to moving to Ottawa to join the team at the Stittsville Small Animal Clinic.
Growing up as an only child, she developed a deep understanding for the human-animal bond from an early age, considering her 3 dogs and 1 cat as her siblings. She always aspired to be a veterinarian so she could help perpetuate and strengthen that bond for others.
Although Dr. Pava only works with dogs and cats, she holds a place in her heart for larger animals, particularly giraffes and elephants. This love developed from frequent visits to the Albuquerque BioPark, as well as a semester studying wildlife management in Kenya and Tanzania during her undergraduate work at Connecticut College.
When she isn’t taking care of others’ animals Dr. Pava loves spending time with her own animals and husband, Rob. While they are new to the area, their wonder-mutt Charlie, is helping them explore the vast hikes and trails that Ottawa has to offer.
