OPP investigating several dog thefts in rural areas

The Ontario Provincial Police is investigating the theft of several dogs in several rural counties around Ottawa in recent months.

The OPP say pets have been taken or have gone missing while outside by themselves in Leeds County, Renfrew County, Napanee, and South Frontenac County. Police offered no other details on the incidents, but are asking pet owners to be aware of where their pet is when being let outside on their own.

To report any suspicious persons, activities or vehicles, call police at 1-888-310-1122 or your local police service.
