My pet needs to have surgery. Should I be worried about the anesthesia?

Modern anesthesia is generally quite safe and each anesthetic protocol is tailored to each individual patients needs. We perform a physical examination and recommend  pre-anesthetic bloodwork prior to all procedures requiring general anesthesia to make sure your pet doesn’t have any hidden health issues. In addition, a veterinary technician will be monitoring your pet’s vital signs (Heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, gum colour, etc) during the procedure, to ensure your pet’s safety. All patients are placed with intravenous fluids to maintain blood pressure and allow access for medications.
